There &lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;Monogenis&lt;/span&gt; worked on a large-scale installation pairing landscape with the abstract to create a three-dimensional painting that organically grows out of its space.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“I wanted to bring that into sculpture and I wanted to also incorporate the environment that the sculpture will be in.” &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); Fifteen feet high, thirty feet wide with a thickness of one foot the obverse and reverse sides are assembled from twelve polished stainless steel panels welded onto a steel chassis, a massive infrastructure stabilized by four braided stainless steel guide wires. "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "&gt;Horst&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, artist &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255); "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "&gt;Wei Dong&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, and the &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;Art and Auction&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;Team&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; were there to support the exhibition. The amazing and effective influence, which &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "&gt;NYYAR&lt;/span&gt; has had, is self-evident. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;Member of the board, &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;Alex Blackwell&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; gave a moving and informative presentation on his organization which the audience clearly received enthusiastically. A local Caribbean band performed and a youth from the organization showed off her modern/ballet dance skills. The evening had a very positive tone. &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;Ivan Stux&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, private investment banker with his own firm Stux Capital, and brother of &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255); "&gt;Stefan Stux&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, is also proudly a board member at &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold; "&gt;NYYAR&lt;/span&gt;. The already successful organization is looking at how they might expand their diverse areas of involvement in the community through partnerships with similar organizations as well as to gain sponsors who share their transcendental vision for New York’s youth. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;As the organization’s motto states, “&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. seminal piece, “Old Uncle One-Eye Sam the Bald Eagle Slayer”, 2005 was featured among others at the Bric Rotunda Gallery, Brooklyn, NY from July 2 – August 8, 2008 in the group exhibition, &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Grotesque Histories&lt;/span&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal; "&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Grotesque Histories&lt;/span&gt; presents the work of three artists — Enrique Chagoya, &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;Aaron &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);"&gt;Johnson&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, and Miguel Luciano — who deploy iconography's based in history, both ancient and recent, to address the current world condition.  Each artist projects a distinct visual style, but all draw upon grotesque visual forms to express pointed, often passionate statements about recent history and political memory.
